Make up the white motifs as before and join to the blue section with a chain of 4 + (to the blue) 4 + (to the space between the white clover leaves). Make a chain on the other side of the white strip as before. The red strip is made and joined in the same fashion. Join the thread to ring 2 Ch: 4 - 4 join between the two sets of clover leaves. Repeat until you reach the bottom. Finish with a join to the last ring. Repeat this on the other side of one stripe. i.e. blue. Make up the white motifs and join in thread as before also joining to the blue section by working Ch: 4 (join to the red chain picot) 4 (join to the white stripe between the rings of the clover leaves). Repeat throughout so that the red stripe joins the white stripe. The red is attached last. The flag pole was worked as a chain over three threads for 6 inches and with a ring of 10ds at the top.
