Work the horizontal bar first. Join cross bars to centre ring at middle picots working outwards. Any ring marked with an R is ordinary. All others are split rings. Throughout this pattern there is no right side. Points to start are marked. It is a pattern for competent tatters with a good knowledge of split rings. |

Small white edging - on the other side of the red stripe Coats 20 Shuttle and ball. Join thread to picot where red stripe joins with red cross bar. Work 3ds + (to red picot), 3 ds (forming a small picot on first ds). Join to next red picot. Repeat to end. Pay particular attention to placing of stripes and chains. They vary. |

Sometimes the next triangles will be joined to chains and sometimes to rings. |
